Job Description:
Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Engineer that will
provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination
issues with project team members and
participants.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for
subcontractors and craft persons
- Implement the pre-construction quality plan
- Obtain and maintain all necessary construction permits
- Work with Project Manager for fee payments or recurring permit
expenses
- Develop and maintain: Material Tracking List, Project Test and
Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance
Report
- Create, oversee, and distribute contract documents
- Establish handling procedures for electronic documents,
including Request for Information (RFI) and correspondence
- Incorporate all processes and procedures that support the
project closeout phase
- Lead all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the
construction quality management program
- Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse
backgrounds and organizational levelsQUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural
Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
experience
- Minimum three years of related experience
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively run
multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally
accepted business practices
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication,
problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills
at an intermediate level
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening skills and effective communication including
an openness to diverse input and feedback

Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field

- $123,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office
locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and
Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).Base pay is
positioned within the range based on several factors including an
individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration
given to internal equity.Please make note:Visa sponsorship is not
