Responsible for ensuring safety of patients and donors undergoing apheresis procedures. Provide prompt evaluation and treatment during oversight of apheresis procedures. Provide on-site, telephone, or electronic consultation as needed for apheresis procedure requests. Conduct educational programs for staff and trainees about apheresis procedures. Implement and identify areas for process improvement as part of apheresis program quality management plan. Contribute to the hospital's academic mission. Meet criteria for UWSOM faculty appointment. #LI-GH1Compensation: $236,37.20-354,556.80/annually - -Required Education/Experience:- MD/DO Degree. - Board eligibility or certification in Clinical Pathology. - Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children's.- Faculty appointment at the University of Washington.Required Credentials: - Licensed as a Physician in the State of Washington.- Meets the Academic Rank eligibility requirements for Assistant Professor in the UW Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.- Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.- All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.- Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's.- Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.- Questions regarding medical or allied health professional staff privileges may be directed to Medical Staff Services.Preferred: - At least three (3) years clinical experience in Pediatric Apheresis.- Training in an accredited post graduate medical education program which includes apheresis (e.g., transfusion medicine, hematology/oncology, nephrology, clinical pathology).Compensation Range$243,500.00 - $365,250.00 per yearSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
