Contract Duration: 12 Months
System One is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO)
Specialist/Lead with expertise in project planning, risk
management, compliance, or performance analysis. This role is a
12-month contract opportunity based in Bellevue, WA, supporting
multiple advanced nuclear projects within the corporate PMO.
Position Overview:
As a key member of the corporate PMO, the PMO Specialist/Lead plays
a critical role in ensuring project success by providing
specialized guidance, oversight, and performance analysis. Working
closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and
external stakeholders, this role ensures strategic alignment,
mitigates risks, and drives the execution of key project
objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Support specialized project management functions such as planning,
scheduling, risk assessment, or compliance oversight, ensuring
seamless integration into broader project frameworks.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Cost
Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI),
providing monthly progress metrics and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, and the PMO to
shape and execute corporate-level project strategies.
Continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and
workflows by integrating industry best practices and specialized
knowledge.
Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization
and with stakeholders to ensure effective communication,
collaboration, and alignment on project objectives.
Provide subject matter expertise in planning, risk management,
compliance, and performance analysis to address challenges and
optimize project outcomes.
Lead change management initiatives, including training and support
for the adoption of new processes and tools.
Report regularly to the Senior Director of PMO and senior
leadership on project status, risks, and key performance metrics,
offering expert recommendations for corrective actions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field from
an accredited university (advanced degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in project management (PM) or PMO roles.
Strong capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality
assurance standards.
Proven expertise in at least one specialist area: project planning,
risk management, compliance, or performance analysis.
Preferred: Experience with advanced nuclear projects.
Ability to operate within a structured PMO, collaborating across
departments and leveraging organizational resources.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with
the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and MS
Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Project).
Demonstrated integrity, transparency, and teamwork, fostering a
collaborative and high-trust work environment.
