TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified ER/Trauma RN in Silverdale, Washington, 98383 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency
Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Guaranteed
Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a larger
trauma setting License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC,
PALS or ENPC, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in a large trauma center
setting Job Description: - Work primarily within an emergency room,
handling a variety of critical cases such as cardiac, stroke,
sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory issues, abdominal pain, and mental
health assessments. - Manage ER patient holds independently, with
support from inpatient RNs. - Provide care in a unit with
approximately 170-200 patients per day and a nurse-to-patient ratio
of 1:4. - Opportunity to float within designated regions if
required; an additional allowance provided when floated. - Engage
in a fast-paced environment with 56 primary beds, potentially
increased to 60-70 with hall beds, and specialized areas including
a fast track section, a separate triage area, and dedicated
psych/seclusion rooms. - In-house security and support from ED
techs and CNAs are available. - Utilize Epic EMR for charting and
participate in a variety of procedures like phlebotomy and EKGs,
with support for transport and radiology. - Weekend shifts required
every other weekend with holiday requirements based on department
needs. - Enjoy a comprehensive orientation process including
compliance information and department-specific training. Additional
Notes: - Telemetry and RT equipment usage required, with RT
managing equipment such as vents, CPap, and BiPap, as well as
performing ABGs. - Professional attire in any colors is expected
during shifts. - No call or standby requirements with additional
shifts available but not mandatory. - No requests for time off
during the first full week of the assignment will be considered.
