Job Description:

Assists the Team Leader in daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. Leads and develops Team Members. Provides courteous and efficient service to customers and Team Members. Performs duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and supports WFM core values and goals. Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and maintains awareness of new products. Maintains good vendor relationships and resolves team concerns. Functions as point person in absence of Team Leader. Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and mutual respect. Selects, trains, and develops Team Members. Provides timely performance evaluations. Communicates and models WFM vision and goals. Key skills include high energy, product knowledge, advanced math skills, and leadership skills. Experience includes 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience. Physical requirements include standing/walking 6-8 hours, lifting 50 pounds, and working in a wet and cold environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
