communities and beyond.-- A Day in the Life of the Senior Network
Internet Design Engineer:
Create, review and document router, switch, and link configurations
based on standards and plans --- Create, review and disseminate
project justifications, diagrams, and other plan/proposal documents
Problem Solving - IP traffic analysis and traffic engineering,
fault identification and solution. Evaluate new technologies,
techniques and products. Implement new product offerings and
enhancements Optimize network security, route-policy, traffic
management and hardware utilization 2. IP Infrastructure Project
Management Manage all aspects of new infrastructure implementation
and upgrades Hands-on configuration and activation of network
devices and links. Represent Astound as technical point-of-contact
for external network relationships (BGP) with vendors, peers, and
customers. Effective task-based management of field-staff and
vendors Focus on execution and deadlines Ongoing IP Network
Operational Support Continuous monitoring and analysis of network
performance. Identification of network challenges; research and
implementation of solutions. Robust and thorough handling of issues
escalated from response engineering staff. 24x7 Rotating On-call
Participation; occasional overnight maintenance work will be

* Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positions -- Base
Salary: The base salary range in California, Washington, Oregon,
Massachusetts, Washington DC, and New York, for this position is
$135,000 - $165,000 annually, plus opportunities for bonus,
benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range
represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on
various factors including but not limited to relevant skills,
experience, and capabilities. It is specific to California,
Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Washington DC, and New York, and
